Step-by-Step Guide to Using MetaHuman in Unreal Engine

MetaHuman is now included in Unreal Engine. To ensure the MetaHuman plugin is activated, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Installation Options: Go to Edit > Options > Check the box for MetaHuman Creator Core Data.

  2. Activate the MetaHuman Plugin: Next, go to Edit > Plugins. Search for MetaHuman and activate the required plugins.

  3. Create a MetaHuman Character: Now you can create a MetaHuman character by selecting any preset. Customize it as you prefer.

  4. Automatic Rigging: Click on the Create Full Rig button to begin the automatic rigging process.

  5. Download Textures: After rigging is complete, check for texture warnings. To resolve this, download the necessary textures.

  6. Assemble the MetaHuman: After downloading textures, click the Assemble button again. From the Assembly dropdown, select your preferred option and press Assemble.

  7. Add the Character to the Scene: Close the MetaHuman editor. In your Content Browser, a folder named MetaHumans will be automatically created, along with the character you just created. Drag the character into the Outliner.

  8. Create a Level Sequence: Next, create a new level sequence.
